Greenbriar Gates & Garage Doors has been repairing and installing garage doors around Parma since 2018. Anthony Shaw started the company with a simple idea: show up when you say you will and do the job right the first time. That approach hasn't changed.

The four calls that come in most
Cold snaps are hard on garage doors. A torsion spring that has been cycling for years tends to give up on a frigid morning, old grease stiffens in the rollers, and bottom seals freeze to the slab and tear when the opener pulls. Most calls fall into four groups:
- Door stuck open or shut — a broken spring or cable, an opener that has been disconnected, or safety sensors knocked out of line.
- Broken spring — a loud bang from the garage, a door that suddenly feels impossibly heavy, an opener that strains and stops.
- Door off its track — rollers out of the track after a bump from a car or a cable letting go. Do not run the opener.
- Opener that quits — dead remotes or keypad, blinking sensor lights, a stripped drive gear, or a power problem.

How fast can you get to a door that is stuck open or shut?
Same-day service is common for anything urgent, especially in Parma and the neighboring suburbs. Call, tell us what the door is doing, and you get a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week." A door that will not close for the night, or a car trapped inside, is treated as urgent.
A spring just broke. Can I still open the door?
Please do not force it. With a broken spring nothing balances the weight of the door any more — often well over 100 pounds on a two-car door — and the opener is not built to lift that. Lifting it by hand is risky for the same reason. Leave the door where it is, keep people and cars clear of it, and call us. Spring replacement is part of our repair work.
Is an older door worth repairing, or should I replace it?
If the sections are straight and the door can be balanced, repair usually wins: springs, cables, rollers, hinges and even single panels are replaceable parts. A new door starts to make sense when several sections are cracked or rusted through at the bottom, the door has been bent out of square, or panels for that model are no longer made. Either way you hear an honest answer before you spend money.
